The line graph below gives information about visits to a public library in one town between 2000 and 2025, and the bar chart shows the main reason visitors gave for coming to the library in 2005 and 2025.
Summarise the information by selecting and reporting the main features, and make comparisons where relevant.
Write at least 150 words.
How to answer
- First, say in one sentence what each chart shows.
- Then write an overview of both charts.
- Give the key numbers from each chart, and link them if you can.

Spend about 40 minutes on this task.
Write about the following topic:
In some countries, it is becoming increasingly common for young people to take a year off between finishing school and starting university, in order to work or travel.
Do the advantages of this development outweigh the disadvantages?
Give reasons for your answer and include any relevant examples from your own knowledge or experience.
Write at least 250 words.
How to answer
- Write one paragraph on the advantages and one on the disadvantages.
- If the question asks which is bigger, answer it clearly.
- Give an example for each main point.
